The CWPro CompTIA Network+ Certification Toolkit course is designed to prepare you to become foundational-level IT network practitioners by preparing you to take the CompTIA Network+ Certification exam. The 10-week micro-credential course with five modules (two weeks per module) is self-paced asynchronous, which will allow you to customize how fast you complete the material.
Within this course, you will acquire a solid foundation in configuring and operating LANs and WANs, as well as learn many fundamental concepts around common network devices. This course teaches the skills required to configure high-tech equipment designed for network architectures. Through TestOut, you will be presented with the opportunity to perform real world tasks in a simulated environment. You will implement, configure, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot network architectures. This course is aligned to the TestOut Network Pro certification exam and the CompTIA Network+ certification exam, N10-008.
Module 1: Networking Basics, Network Cabling and Hardware Devices, & Network Addressing and Services
In the 4 lessons in Module 1, you will learn about the CompTIA Network+ Certification Exam and will access the TestOut Simulator. You will also understand how to establish basic network connectivity and how to and maintain network documentation. The Knowledge Check will ensure you understand these concepts.
Module 2: Ethernet & Firewalls and Intrusion Detection, Switching and Routing, Specialized Networks
In the 4 lessons in Module 2, you will learn about what makes the Ethernet architecture unique. You will also learn about the two different ways to implement firewalls and explored how switching and routing helps a network run smoothly. You have tons of practice opportunities through the TestOut Simulator so you can feel free to go back and practice many times before you take the Network + exam. The Knowledge Check will ensure you are on track with your understanding of these concepts.
Module 3: Wireless Networks & Wide Area Networks (WANs), Network Customization
In the 2 lessons in module 3, you will learn about the basic building blocks of WLANs and how they connect into a LAN. You will also learn how to describe various WAN concepts and what hardware is needed to share network data. You will have tons of practice opportunities through the TestOut Simulator so you can feel free to go back and practice many times before you take the Network + exam. The Knowledge Check will ensure you are on track with your understanding of these concepts.
Module 4: Network Operations and Management, Network Security, & Hardening and Update Management
In the 3 lessons in Module 4, you will learn about baselining to monitor a network’s performance and how to analyze a network’s traffic. You will also compare different threat types and discuss a variety of network security concepts such as the CIA triad. Lastly, you will dive into network hardening techniques so that you can explain different strategies used to harden your system. You will have tons of practice opportunities through the TestOut Simulator so you can feel free to go back and practice many times before you take the Network+ exam. The Knowledge Check will ensure you are on track with your understanding of these concepts.
Module 5: Network Optimization and Troubleshooting, Final Exam Prep Assessments
In the 2 lessons in Module 5, you will learn ways to increase a network’s fault tolerance by applying the skills needed to work through a troubleshooting methodology. You will also learn how to explain issues and how the cascade affected other systems. Finally, you will have completed several CompTIA Network+ practice exams. You can continue to utilize the TestOut Simulator as you prepare for the CompTIA Network+ Certification exam.

For this course, you will earn the CWPro CompTIA Network+ Certification Toolkit badge within 48 hours of completing Module 5’s final Knowledge Check with an 80% or above. You will also receive instructions on how to obtain your voucher so that you can take the CompTIA Network + Certification Exam.
