The Minor in 3D/Sculpture allows students to focus on working 3-dimensionally and sculpture/installation as a medium, discipline, process and vehicle to evolve conceptual thinking with creative practices. It will provide students the opportunity to explore the technical, formal, historical and theoretical approaches to working 3D through a combination of studio courses. Explorations in traditional mediums such as wood, clay and plaster will be utilized as well as mixed media, interdisciplinary practices and non-traditional mediums and found object. The analysis of contemporary practices lead to students developing personal strategies in sculpture. Working
