Candidate requirements
Job specification - Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill cardiovascular patients, including those recovering from cardiac surgery, heart failure, and other cardiac conditions.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and assist with life-saving interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Utilize advanced technology and equipment to monitor patients' heart function and manage complex cardiovascular devices, such as ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and ECMO.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Advanced degree (MSN) preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU or ICU experience in an acute care setting.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are required.
- Strong clinical skills in managing critical care patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
