Position Overview
All Achievement Centers for Children & Families (ACCF) employees are required to uphold the mission and vision of ACCF and to foster an environment that promotes the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of each child enrolled.
The Director of Education is a key member of ACCF’s leadership team and is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of all Out-of-School Time (OST) educational programs. This role oversees curriculum development, program quality, assessment systems, data-driven decision-making, and staff development across three OST sites. The Director ensures all programming meets organizational, contractual, and accreditation standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Strategy
• Provide strategic direction for OST programs to ensure developmentally appropriate, engaging, and responsive learning experiences.
• Oversee academic enrichment initiatives, including the EmpowerED tutoring program and supplemental learning services.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to expand and enhance program offerings.
• Ensure alignment with organizational priorities, funder expectations, and contractual requirements.
• Use data and staff feedback to guide program improvements and monitor progress toward goals.
Staff Development & Supervision
• Supervise, coach, and support program staff to ensure high-quality instructional delivery.
• Provide training on data tools, outcome measurement, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
• Lead workshops, in-service training, and information-sharing sessions to build staff capacity and support continuous quality improvement.
Curriculum & Quality Improvement
• Develop or source high-quality curriculum materials across literacy, STEM, arts, SEL, and project-based learning.
• Oversee curriculum implementation, materials, scheduling, and use of educational technology.
• Conduct regular site visits to evaluate program delivery, strengthen instructional consistency, and provide technical assistance.
• Maintain and update logic models, performance indicators, and reporting tools that support program evaluation.
• Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting to assess program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
• Review IEP and 504 Plans for appropriate implementation and assist families in navigating processes.
Community Engagement & Collaboration
• Build and maintain relationships with school district leaders, principals, and community partners.
• Represent ACCF and OST programs in community meetings and collaborative initiatives.
• Work with principals to align goals, services, and site-specific strategies to ensure integrated support for youth.
• Partner with Finance and Development on budgets, grants, donor engagement, and reporting needs.
• Participate in cross-departmental planning and organizational leadership initiatives.
