Complexity of Work: The Manager of Social work is responsible for overseeing the department to ensure that all social work services meet the highest standards of care and compliance within regulatory and ethical guidelines. This role requires a deep understanding of social work principles, health care policies, and community resources along with the ability to manage complex cases. In this capacity the manager is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of social work while ensuring that intervention are tailored to meet the needs of each patient. This role requires strong analytical and decision making skills to assess program effectiveness. Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of supervisory/management experience in the area of Social Work and, at least, two (2) years of experience in an acute care setting.
