Nursing Supervisor

University Health Services is seeking a dedicated Nursing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day clinical operations and nursing staff for an assigned area. In this leadership role, you'll coordinate patient flow, facilitate efficient and customer-friendly care, and guide nursing team members to deliver high-quality service for our campus community.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and facilitate patient care; assign and direct the work of nursing team members
• Provide triage, phone advice, patient education, and medication administration
• Assess and monitor all clinical activities
• Provide training and guidance to nursing staff as needed
• Conduct staff reviews and make recommendations for personnel actions
• Counsel staff for policy deviations and develop corrective action plans
• Bring concerns and ideas for improvement to Clinical Services Leadership
• May provide clinical support to research studies
• Supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management

Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications

If filled as Nursing Supervisor - Senior Supervisor, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree, 6+ years of relevant experience, Required Certifications: Registered Nurse - Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

If filled as Nursing Supervisor - Supervisor, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree, 3+ years of relevant experience, Required Certifications: Registered Nurse - Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Background Checks/Clearances

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $61,800.00 - $102,300.00. Salary Structure - Information on Penn State's salary structure.
