Job specification

- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with the nursing process and professional practice standards.

- Monitor, assess, and treat patients with neurological injuries, post-operative needs, and traumatic conditions.

- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in patient conditions.

- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.

- Document care accurately in the electronic health record system.

Candidate requirements

- Diploma or associate degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or enrolment in a BSN program preferred.

- Active RN licensure in Virginia or eligibility to practice in Virginia with a multi-state compact RN license.

- American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider certification required; ACLS, PALS, and BCLS Instructor certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes.

- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification required.

- Management experience in an emergency room setting is required.
