This college intends to prepare Barber students with the necessary skills to meet the demand of the industry through exposure to practical, theoretical, and hands-on experience, safety and sanitary precautions, salon management, and state laws and first aid.
The student will also become familiar with duties of a receptionist, cashier, as well as professional ethics and public relations; therefore, developing an employable quality for entry-level barbers. Upon completion of 1000 hours (42 weeks), requirements, and chapter tests, the student will be eligible to take the Washington State Board Exam. An 81% score is required for passing on both the written and practical exams. Upon completing hours and requirements, the student will be given a diploma from BJ’s Beauty & Barber College.
