Students in the Biomedical Engineering Minor take courses that provide them with a broad overview of the discipline. Through the curriculum, students learn about the many aspects of the engineering field and are required to communicate their ideas orally, visually, and through writing to a wide audience beyond the engineering field. An interdisciplinary minor in biomedical engineering exposes students to the role of engineering in the health sciences and biological fields. Students who complete the minor will be equipped with experiences working with engineering students, the basic tools of the field, and the ability to collaboratively work and communicate across traditional disciplinary roles in industry.
