As an Apprentice you will work in a salon as an assistant carrying out a range of duties to include shampoo and conditioning hair, meeting and greeting clients, as well as assisting stylist in their work to contribute to the effective running of the salon. You will also participate in salon training sessions. You will attend college on one day each week where you will work in our salon to learn and develop practical skills and theory knowledge.
An Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hairdressing will allow you to gain valuable “hands on” experience through working in a salon, gain an industry-recognised qualification by attending College one day each week and off job training within the workplace.
The College has up-to date, industry-standard salons, which give you the opportunity to work with real clients, giving you valuable practical and realistic working experience to prepare you for work or further study. You will be supported throughout your Program by a workplace assessor, You will have the opportunity to go on off-site visits to Salon International, other trade and hair shows, competitions and external workshops.
