Advance Urologic Care: APP Opportunity in Academic Medicine - Central Phoenix!

Banner - University Medical Group, in partnership with Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix and the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (PA) to join our growing Urology team in Central Phoenix. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the inaugural development of the Department of Urology, supporting both inpatient and outpatient care in a collaborative academic environment.

This role also offers the rare opportunity to be part of the inaugural development of the Department of Urology, helping shape the future of urologic care, education, and research within a leading academic health system.

Position Overview

As an APP in the Department of Urology, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive genitourinary care. Responsibilities include:

• This position is focused on inpatient care at B-UMCP, with opportunities to engage in outpatient services and academic development

• Inpatient rounding and consults

• Performing urologic procedures (e.g., catheter placements)

• Interpreting diagnostic tests and prescribing medications

• Patient education and clinical documentation

• Collaborating closely with Urologists and interdisciplinary teams

• Supporting research and academic initiatives

Position Requirements

• 1+ year of experience as an RN or APP in a Urology setting

• Current Arizona PA license (or eligibility)

• Board Certification as a Physician Assistant

• DEA license, BLS, and CPR certification

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 PM | Inpatient rounding

• One overnight call per week

• One weekend per month (rotating with other APPs)

• Call is compensated in addition to base salary
