Qualifications & Credentialing:
MD or DO degree
ABIM board-certifiedEligible for medical licensure in the State of Missouri
Demonstrated interest in academic medicine, teaching, and resident development
FTE Allocation:
0.1 FTE (10%) : Administrative and educational responsibilities for the residency program, as delegated by the Program Director
0.9 FTE (90%) : Clinical practice
Clinical Responsibilities:
Primary clinical assignment isSupervision of 100% of resident patient encounters , Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Orders
Plans of care
AnEducational & Administrative Responsibilities
Core Faculty members are expected to play a significant role in the educational mission of the program, including:
Development, implementation, and assessment of one or more major curricular components (e.g., patient safety, quality improvement, health disparities, or core didactics)
Design and implementation of resident assessment strategies aligned withParticipation in and delivery of educational activities, including didactics, simulation, and skills labs
Active participation inAdvising, mentoring, and coaching residents throughout training
Membership on theOversight and support of resident:
Quality improvement and patient safety projects
Scholarly activity, including research, posters, presentations, and publications
Oversight ofDesign and implementation of simulation and standardized patient experiences
Development and oversight ofPerformance Expectations:
Core Faculty members are expected to meet the following benchmarks:
Communication of expectations to residents at the start of each clinic block with follow-up on goals and accountability ( 100% expectation )
Comprehensive EHR attestations with oversight of resident notes, orders, and care plans ( 80% expectation )
Completion of all formative resident evaluations in the New Innovations platform with 1:1 in-person feedback ( 100% expectation )
Participation in:
Quarterly faculty meetings ( 80% )
Faculty development activities ( 80% )
ACGME Program Faculty Survey ( 100% annually )
Annual Faculty Retreat ( once every 2 years )
Annual participation in clinical curriculum review and revision
Participation in resident recruitment activities when requested by the Program Director ( 80% )
Resident mentorship:
1–2 residents per PGY level
Minimum of one in-person mentoring session per quarter ( 100% expectation )
Design and oversight of individualized learning plans and remediation efforts
Scholarly output expectations:
At leastSupport dissemination through presentations, posters, or peer reviewed publications
Teaching expectations:
Minimum ofParticipation in noon conference case discussions, including Intern Case Report ( 75% )
