Payroll Specialist | Multi-Client | RemoteU.S. only (TX, FL, UT preferred)We're not your typical HR Department. We are THE HR Department for a wide variety of small business clients in a wider variety of industries. We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support our Outsourced HR and Payroll Services for multiple small business clients.Our goal is to ensure that all payroll operations run smoothly and effectively, delivering maximum value to the companies we serve. Our clients typically have fewer than 49 employees, and we serve the entire U.S.What You Will Do:Payroll Processing & Deadline ManagementProcess and enter timesheet data, update payroll records with salary or wage adjustments, and answer employee questions about payments.Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure employees are compensated correctly and on time.Review payroll registers for accuracy before submission.Monitor payroll calendars and proactively obtain missing timesheets, approvals, and documentation.Catch discrepancies before they become client problems.Ensure new hire reporting and terminations are handled correctly.Conduct reconciliations for employee benefits invoicesWork with authorities (Departments of Labor, Workforce Commissions, Workers' Compensation) on unemployment claims, audits, or other requestsConduct salary surveys as requestedClient CommunicationServe as a primary point of contact for payroll and onboarding matters.Communicate deadlines clearly and confidently.Follow up professionally when information is missing.Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless service delivery.Who You AreDetail-obsessed in the best possible way.Analytical with good math skills and excellent people skillsComfortable juggling multiple payroll calendars at once.Calm under deadline pressure.Not afraid to send a second (or third) follow-up email when needed.Tech-savvy and comfortable working in cloud-based systems.Professional, discreet, and trustworthy with sensitive data.Energized by helping small businesses operate more smoothly.What Were Looking For2+ years of multi-client payroll experience.Experience using payroll software (Gusto and/or QuickBooks Online Payroll preferred).Strong organizational and deadline management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience working remotely in a structured, process-driven environment.What We Offer:Salary: $45,000 per yearAn opportunity to grow in a conscious, people-first culture.A collaborative, engaged team that genuinely enjoys working together.100% remote work.
